SkillBridge — drill deck
Civilian job training on duty time. Commander approval. The window is on the official page.
8 min · Soldiers nearing separation · Education only. Not a claim. Not Army or VA product.
Slide 1 · What it is · TOP's
An approved industry program. Not a side hustle you invent.
- The program list is skillbridge.mil.
- Commander approval is required. The 1SG does not waive it.
- Confirm how close to separation the window is on that page before you promise 180 days.
1 / 2 · Verify on DoD SkillBridge before anyone enrolls.
Slide 2 · What to bring the commander · TOP's
The program name, the dates, and the ETS.
- If it is not on the official list, it is not SkillBridge.
- TAP and BDD still have their own clocks. This does not file a claim.
- Guard and Reserve: read the component rules on the same site. Do not assume a drill status qualifies.
