Since 2022, VA has taken in more than 3.5 million PACT-related claims. That volume only moves if the claims platform does more than shuffle PDFs. In 2026 testimony, VA described automation support for rating, better intake, and notifications by email, app push, and text — with engagement over 50 percent when they ask for more evidence in plain language.
The rating backlog they cited has sat under 75,000 since May 2026. That is not 'your claim is done.' It is evidence that the pipeline is no longer purely analog. Check status in the app instead of waiting for a letter that already bounced.
Discover Your Benefits
In 2025 VA launched Discover Your Benefits, a self-service tool meant to surface VA and other federal benefits around transition — not only disability. Use it after you have a verified account. It will not replace a VSO, and it will not file for you.
If you have a presumptive PACT condition that was denied years ago, the move is a supplemental claim on VA.gov, not a new Facebook group. If you have never filed, file. The tech is there. The date of claim is still on you.
