The VA app now shows what you owe. Pay on VA.gov.
Overpayment details landed in the official Health and Benefits app. A random portal that wants a card number to “clear a hold” is still a scam.

VA added benefit-overpayment debt details to the Health and Benefits app. That is useful. It is not a new cash register. You still resolve debt on VA.gov with the same Login.gov or ID.me account. Debt and Disability Compensation, Education, and Pension overpayments are VA collections — not a Google ad.
Install VA: Health and Benefits from the real App Store or Google Play. Same verified identity. If a text says your benefits are frozen until you pay a gift card, delete it.
