Guard and Reserve soldiers treat healthcare like something finance will sort out. For Selected Reserve, TRICARE Reserve Select is a purchase you make in milConnect. If you never open Beneficiary Web Enrollment, you are uninsured in civilian life until you do.

Official 2026 premiums on TRICARE.mil are $57.88 a month member-only and $286.66 member-and-family. Deductibles split by pay grade: E-4 and below at $66 / $132, E-5 and above at $198 / $397. Those numbers move every year. Read them on a .mil page, not a screenshot in a group chat.

milConnect → Sign in (CAC, DS Logon, or Login.gov) → Benefits → Beneficiary Web Enrollment → your profile → purchase TRICARE Reserve Select → member-only or family → set the allotment or EFT → submit. TOP walked the whole thing on camera so you can pause it on the same screen.

You are out if you are on active-duty orders, on TAMP, in the Retired Reserve, IRR, or eligible for FEHB as a federal employee. Confirm status before you fight the form. Do not tap FEHB on the form if you are not a fed — it will lock you out of TRS.
