  • A qualifying year is your anniversary year (AYE), not 1 January. 49 points is a lost year.
  • Ready Reserve membership is 15 automatic. A standard drill weekend is 4.
  • RST a dying weekend before it dies. Correspondence courses will not save a short year.
  • Army Reserve: IPPS-A. Guard: state RPAM. Audit the official inquiry, not a spreadsheet.
  • Twenty qualifying years is the gate for a non-regular retirement.
