  • 180 days of TRICARE with no premium — if DEERS shows TAMP. Confirm in milConnect.
  • Day 181 needs a next plan: TRS, TRR, VA health, or civilian.
  • BDD is a different clock: file 180–90 days before ETS.
  • VGLI’s 240-day conversion clock did not pause for a premium holiday. Recut 21 Sep 2026: holiday is Nov. 1, 2026–Jan. 31, 2027 for policies already current.
  • Your personnel shop documents TAMP. I do not.
