Request BRS continuation pay before the window closes

Continuation pay is a one-time mid-career payout for people already in the Blended Retirement System. The service sets the amount. It does not deposit itself.

  1. 01

    Confirm you are in BRS

This payout is for service members enrolled in the Blended Retirement System. Legacy High-3 does not get it. The page describes it as a direct cash payout, like a bonus, at the mid-career mark.

  2. 02

Check the year against your Pay Entry Base Date

Complete no less than 7 years and not more than 12 years, counted from the PEBD. CY27 on that same page: no less than 7 and not more than 10. Your service sets the timing and the amount.

  3. 03

Ask the service, then watch myPay

Army National Guard on that page is Active Duty under Title 10 or Title 32 full-time National Guard duty. Do not assume a drill weekend qualifies. Submit what your branch tells you to submit. The LES is the proof it paid.
