Use Credentialing Assistance / DoD COOL
Licenses and certifications. A different pot from tuition assistance and from GI Bill. COOL shows what the MOS maps to. The service CA office pays it. Recut from DoD COOL. I will not file it.

Look up the MOS on DoD COOL
cool.osd.mil. See which licenses the service already mapped to your job. That list is not automatic approval — it is the menu.

Apply through the service portal, not a Facebook school
Army: ArmyIgnitED. Other services have their own CA office. TA, CA, and GI Bill are three pots. Do not spend Chapter 33 on a cert CA would have paid.

Keep the exam receipt
Some paths reimburse after you pass. Recoupment rules exist if you fail to complete. Confirm the live policy on the service page before you sit the exam.
