Start on the Military OneSource child-care page
That page maps installation child development, family child care, school-age care, and fee assistance. The request portal they name is the DoD Military Child Care system. Type the official address. Do not pay a broker for a waitlist slot.

Request care even if the wait is long
Fee assistance is a separate path when installation care is full. Eligibility follows the sponsor’s status — active duty, AGR, and many Selected Reserve families. Confirm on the official page.

PCS means a new request
The losing installation does not carry the slot. Update DEERS, then request care at the gaining installation as soon as orders exist.
