Enroll in the TRICARE Dental Program
Selected Reserve dental is not hiding inside TRICARE Reserve Select. TDP is a separate enrollment, usually through United Concordia / the official TRICARE dental door.

Know which dental program you are even on
Active duty dental is in-service. Selected Reserve sponsors and many family members use the TRICARE Dental Program. FEDVIP dental is a different product for retirees and federal civilians. If you are drilling Guard/Reserve, start at TRICARE.mil dental, not BENEFEDS.

Use the official TDP enrollment path
Start at TRICARE.mil TDP. Enrollment is handled with United Concordia. You will need DEERS information current. If DEERS is wrong, the form will fail before the dentist does.

Enroll during the window that matches your status
New eligibility, a qualifying life event, and the annual window are not the same thing. If you missed it, do not buy a random civilian discount plan and call it TDP.

Confirm the premium on your LES
Enrollment is not done until the allotment or invoice is real. Pull the LES the following month. If the line is missing, you are uninsured.
