Buy TRICARE Retired Reserve in milConnect

TRR is premium-based coverage for Retired Reserve members under 60 who are not FEHB-eligible. 2026 published rates: $645.90 member / $1,548.30 family. Enroll through Beneficiary Web Enrollment.

   Confirm you are Retired Reserve, under 60, not FEHB

   Still drilling Selected Reserve? That is TRS. Already drawing retired pay? Regular retiree TRICARE. Federal civilian with FEHB? You generally cannot buy TRR.

2. 02

   Open milConnect → Benefits → BWE

   Same cash register as TRS, different product. Sign in with CAC, DS Logon, or Login.gov. Do not tap FEHB on the form if you are not a fed.

3. 03

   Pay the initial premium

   TRICARE usually wants two months up front, then EFT or recurring card. Missed payments suspend coverage.

4. 04

   Watch age 60

   When retired pay starts, TRR ends and you move to retiree Prime / Select / TRICARE For Life rules. Put it on a calendar.
