Confirm they aged off the sponsor plan
Dependent children generally lose TRICARE at 21, or later if they meet the student rule TRICARE.mil publishes. Unmarried. DEERS has to still show them as a child. Recut the age rule from TRICARE.mil before you buy a month extra.

Enroll in milConnect BWE
Prime or Select version, own premium. 2026 published TYA premiums live on TRICARE.mil compare-costs. This is not the sponsor’s Prime enrollment and not CHAMPVA.

They need their own identity
Adult dependents should have Login.gov and a DEERS record they can see. The sponsor can often start the purchase; the adult child should not live in the sponsor’s inbox forever.
