Enroll in VA health care with Form 10-10EZ

VA health care is a separate enrollment from a disability claim. Apply even if you have other insurance. No fee to apply. Priority group is VA’s decision after they see service and income.

   Have a VA.gov login

   Login.gov or ID.me, identity proofed. Same account you use for claims.

2. 02

   Gather the packet

   DD-214 or NGB-22, SSNs, insurance card, and income if they ask. Service-connected veterans still enroll — do not assume the rating did it for you.

3. 03

   Submit 10-10EZ

   Online is fastest. You can also mail, call 877-222-VETS, or walk into a VA facility. Decisions are often under a week.

4. 04

   Then learn community care

   Enrollment is the door. Community care and travel pay are how you actually get treated when the VA clinic is full or far.
