Read eligibility on VA.gov first
Wartime service, discharge, age or disability, and income / net-worth limits. This is not the combined-rating check. Recut from VA.gov pension. Aid and Attendance is extra help on top if you need daily care.

File the pension application on VA.gov
Same Login.gov / ID.me key. An accredited VSO is free. A mill that wants a cut of a needs-based benefit is a hard no.

Do not mix it up with compensation
You generally cannot draw both at the full amounts. VA will pick the greater benefit in many cases. Confirm on their page before you withdraw a disability claim to chase pension.
