How to sign up for VGLI / SGLI conversion
If your VGLI is current, VA is skipping premiums November 2026 through January 2027. If you are still converting from SGLI, the deadline did not take a holiday.

VGLI Just Got 3 Free Months — Your Conversion Clock Did Not
Three months of VGLI premiums off — November 1, 2026 through January 31, 2027 — if your policy is already current. Automatic. No opt-in website. Coverage stays on. If you are still getting out, that holiday is not your conversion window. SGLI after ETS is a clock. VGLI without health questions is two hundred forty days. The holiday does not pause it. Put the dates on a calendar next to TAMP and BDD.
