Reservists: ask for the DD214-1 before you out-process.
Guard and Reserve now get a Certificate of Uniformed Service addendum with points. It is not a substitute for a regular DD-214. Get both. Store both.

Points live on paper now
If you are leaving a reserve component — separating, IRR, inactive National Guard, Standby, or Retired Reserve — ask the S-1 / MPF whether your packet includes DD Form 214-1, the Certificate of Uniformed Service, Reserve Component Addendum. It is meant to summarize active time, inactive time, and retirement points. A conventional DD-214 still covers a period of active service. The addendum is not a magic replacement.
DoD told the services to field this. They did, over a couple of years. You should not wait for a news site to tell you it exists. Ask the clerk who is clearing you. If they shrug, you still request a copy of your records later.
If you already left without it
VA.gov has the records request. milConnect has personnel documents if your identity is already proven. eBenefits-era bookmarks are dead ends. A missing points summary is a retirement-age problem, not a Facebook problem.
While you are here: TAMP, BDD, and VGLI still have clocks. A form in a folder does not enroll healthcare.
