The headline is not the click
VA says more than 250,000 veterans enrolled in VA health care so far in 2026. That is a press number. Your number is whether you have a Login.gov or ID.me account and a submitted 10-10EZ.
Combat veterans, PACT Act toxic-exposure veterans, and a lot of people who think they “have civilian insurance so VA is closed” still qualify to apply. Other insurance does not make the form illegal. Priority group is a VA decision after you apply — not a Facebook rumor before you start.
Do this on a second screen
Create or prove identity on Login.gov (or ID.me if that is what you already have). Open https://www.va.gov/health-care/apply/. Fill the 10-10EZ. About 30 minutes if DEERS and your discharge data are clean. Phone backup: 877-222-VETS.
This is not a claims mill. VA does not charge to apply. If a site wants a fee to “unlock” enrollment, close the tab.
