If the sponsor still has TRICARE, the family is usually on TRICARE. CHAMPVA is a different door for certain survivors and families of veterans who are permanently and totally disabled.

GI Bill housing pay needs a monthly click. The school cannot do it for you.
Verify enrollment on VA.gov at the end of each month. Miss two months on Post-9/11 and the housing money pauses. Montgomery does not pay that month at all.
